I Am The Doctor
Hi Everyone! My family and I have been watching a lot of Doctor Who on our Clearplay recently and I thought I'd post a video of a piano version of one of my favorite songs from there called "I Am The Doctor" (which I'm also currently trying to learn on the piano). Enjoy! :)

Elegant Blogger Award
I was awarded the Elegant Blogger Award by both Belle and Jana.
THE RULES
THE QUESTIONS
1. What made you decide to start blogging?
My sister started one and really liked it; so I thought I'd give it a go as well.
2. What is your fashion style?
Swishy skirts, sweaters, boots, and belts. Kind of like 1950's farmgirl? I have a Pinterest board on it if you really want to know. But of course that's how I'd like to dress sometimes I do end up in shorts and a T-shirt.
3. What is something none of your followers know about you?
I lighten my hair; my natural color is actually pretty dark.
4. What are some of your blogging goals?
I don't really have a "blogging goal" however, I try to apply my life goal, to glorify God in all that I do, to my blog.
5. Where is your favorite place to shop?
I've recently gone to Jo-ann's for the first time and that's my new favorite sewing and craft store. It's AMAZING! :)
6. What would your ideal amount of blog followers be?
I don't know, but I'm always thrilled to have a new follower!
7. What are your talents?
Well, I've been told I have a knack for drawing and music.
8. Are you a leader or a follower?
I... I like to be in charge. I do admit it. But I'm trying not to be as bossy. So I guess that makes me a leader ;)
9. What is one of your favorite quotes?
"I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it."
~ Alice (from Alice In Wonderland)
10. Do you have a favorite book or book series?
I'm assuming this is supposed to be my favorite fiction book or series. That's a hard question, but I think my favorite is The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale
11. Out of all of the synonyms for elegant, which would you describe yourself with (smart - stylish - dressy - graceful - dainty - fine)?
Maybe cultured or classic?
12. What is your favorite flower?
I like forget-me-nots and foxglove, but I honestly delight in any kind of flower.

Elevensies Tag
Miss Evelyn from Into The Western Wild tagged me! :)
To start I'm supposed to list eleven random facts about myself; but I thought it might be neat to list eleven characters that I'm like instead. So....
Again all about keeping order and following the rules (especially my own)
3) Rabbit
This is exactly the way I would act if someone bounced in my garden.
Rabbit is really uptight, and I can be a lot of the time, but not all the time. :)
4) Cinderella
I've been told by several people that I look like her and I like cleaning the house while I sing. (Just don't walk across my freshly mopped floor or I turn into Rabbit ;)
5) Radagast
I share Radagast's love of nature, though probably not quite to his extent. I also share his fondness for hedgehogs. :D
6) Marianne Dashwood
Hayden says I'm very much like Marianne, though I don't know why....
7) One Man Band
I will try to learn any instrument that I can get my hands on; it's also usually not that hard for me to pick out tunes by ear.
8) Lucy
That's says it all right there. :)
9) Rapunzel
I like baking, drawing, painting, playing instruments, and breaking out into random song ect. Or just all things artsy. :)
10) Uncle Albert
Because I love to laugh just as much as he does. :)
11) Lucy Ricardo
I'm like Lucy because I'm always coming up with crazy ideas and trying to get Hayden (my Ethel) to go along with them.

1. What's your eye color? Hazel
2. Narnia or Lord of the Rings? I don't really know. I've read all but one of the Chronicles of Narnia books, but I've only read The Hobbit out of the Lord of the Rings series. I really like them both.
3. Are you a brunette, blond, red head or other? Blond
4. Would you rather live in the city or the country? Country
5. Are you an early bird or a night owl? I'm an owl who wants to be an early bird :)
6. What was the last book you read? The Gospel of John
7. Do you like tea, coffee, or neither? I love both coffee and tea
8. What's your favorite instrument? Do you play it? This is a really hard question. I really like the cello, violin, guitar, piano, and a variety of flutes/whistles; but I don't think that I can pick one favorite as of just now. I've taught myself tin whistle and some piano and a friend of mine said she would teach me some guitar soon.
9. Cats or dogs? Why? I have two cats that I love, but I like dogs too. I don't think I could really say I'm a "dog person" or a "cat person" because I'm happy with both.
10. If you've read or watched Little Women are you more like Meg, Jo, Beth, or Amy? I'm a combination of Meg and Amy.
11. If you could go to one of the three scenes described in the following sentences, which would you chose?
A cute cottage overlooking a lake with the sun setting softly, and a loon calling in the distance, while you're sitting cuddling a puppy.
A grand castle with beautiful gardens surrounding it, while you're headed down in a pretty gown to a grand feast, lots of friends, and dancing.
Or a big vineyard in Italy, the sun starting to set throwing pretty light on the hundreds of rows, while you're heading eagerly towards a large house where the sound of laughter and teasing come drifting from the windows, glowing with the light within.
I'd say the party at the castle, though the cottage is a close second.
I'm supposed to come up with eleven of my own questions and eleven people to tag but I'm not going to do that this time. (because I don't have time! ;)

Ball Pictures
The Lowcountry Heritage Ball was actually a few months ago, but I thought I'd go ahead and post some pictures from it now anyway. Better late than never, right? :)
This was our second ball and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Bostic were our Grand Marshals.

Country Dancing Practice
The other day we had a dance practice for our upcoming Lowcountry Heritage Ball, so I thought I'd share some pictures.
"The Virginia Reel"
My parents dancing "Postie's Jig"
More from "Postie's Jig" (I'm wearing the blue shirt).
More dancing.
Here is a video of "Mr. Beverage's Maggot"
This is going to be the second ball that we've done. I'm so glad we've been able to participate in country dancing -it's really fun!
Let them praise His name with dancing, making melody to Him with tambourine and lyre!

Starting My Garden
I've been getting an urge to garden lately so I've started some plants. I usually just try to grow things from the seeds in the produce we buy, so you can see a bit of our dinner history from whatever's on the windowsill. ;)
This is my lemon tree, isn't is cute?
This is my pomegranate plant...
and my apple tree.
This is my other apple tree I grew from a wee little seed a couple years ago.
I just recently braided the trunk because it was split up into three, which was my dad's idea. It's going to be interesting to see how it looks after growing some more.
This is my pineapple plant. They takes two years to produce a single pineapple, but I've been patient! :) This is the second year I've had it; so hopefully I'll be getting a pineapple soon. I've also got two itty bitty kiwi plants that didn't show up on my camera, and a red honeysuckle plant growing as well. I'd like to get some lavender and lemon balm. I got the book 1001 Natural Remedies from my grandma and almost everything involves lavender.
(By the way, I really like this book :)
Has anyone else started any gardening?
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

That's What Bilbo Baggins Hates!
I just saw "The Hobbit" a couple days ago and one of my favorite parts is when the dwarves are invading Bilbo's home, especially when they sing "That's What Bilbo Baggin's Hates". So I found a video of it. Enjoy!

Brilliant Blog Award
I was awarded by Daisy from Violets and Daisies
Blog Award Rules:
Put a link to who gave you the award
Post the award to your blog
Answer the questions
Choose 5 blogs to receive the award
Let them know you've awarded them
Blog Award Questions:
1. If you could have a "flower pen name" like we have here on our blog, Violets and Daisies what would it be?
2. What is your favourite ever Bible verse and why?
3. What are the blogs which inspire you most?
4. If you and your friends could visit any country in the world, where would you go?
5. If you have one, feel free to share your testimony as to how you became a Christian.
1. Hmm... a flower pen name... Can I chose Forget-me-not? ;)
2. As for my favorite Bible verse that's a hard one, but I do really like 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
4. I would LOVE to go to Europe and I'm sure my friends would too. :D
5. I've grown up in a Christian home so I can't really think of a time that I didn't know Christ;, but I do think that in the past year I've taken a big step closer to God, and can really seen Him working in my life. It's been really neat for me as I've been reading my Bible more to see how God will have me read the same verse I was just thinking about or have my school work tie in with the Bible passage I had just read. :)
